Was told delivery would be next day and 3 weeks later it came. Also salesman (Matt) was to get extra drawer pulls from company so the bombe chest we ordered would match the dresser we also got. Called him 5 times and he never would call back. To bad for them we are remodeling our whole house and 3 more bedrooms we need to furnish along with 2 living rooms. I would not go throught that company to get any other furniture due to lack of help. When you call you get a general 866 number and trying to get to the store you actually bought from is not easy.

They lied about coupon

My family went to purchase a tempurpedic bed at the riverside store and was told that they will give a discount coupon for 99.99. But they added it back in to the net sub total by putting it back through delivery charges. They claimed that they are giving you a discount but they are not really giving it. The salesrep totally lied about the transaction. If he would have told us that they will put back the discount for delivery charges, we could have just picked up the bed for a matter of 2 miles radius. Its really nice that management trained their sales associates to lie to their customers.

Ordered a bed and then told it was discontinued.

Ordered a headboard & footboard on May 1, 2012 from Mor Funiture. I was told it would take up to 4 weeks to be delivered. Three days before delivery date Corp. Office called to tell me the bed has been backed ordered and I would only get part of the bed on delivery day. (part of the bed?) When I called the store about it, the story changed to "the bed has been discontinued"....there is no bed being delivered". I wasted one month waiting on this bed when they knew this information before hand. I will no longer shop at Mor Furniture in the future.

Mor Furniture not safe for my elderly Mom

I bought 4 dining chairs (one w/arms for safety reasons for someone in their 90's). These chairs were more for show, and in the last few months used maybe 4 to 5 times. My Mom tried to get up from the chair, moved it away from the table, and when she got up the chair tipped backwards, and when it hit the carpet, the top of the wooden chair broke off. I called the store and was told I could buy a new one for 10% above what they pay for it. I said no, that's unacceptable and asked to speak to my sales associate (I provided the name.) That person was with a client and was told they would call as soon as possible. Well, that was Sunday and today is Thursday. I decided to take the chair to Mor's myself. I was told they can do nothing at the store and they wouldn't keep the chair----I had to make an appointment for them to visit my Mom's place. (I asked why they couldn't visit the chair at the store and was told their furniture repair people don't visit the store.) I said they could visit tomorrow, but 2 weeks from now was the earliest time to visit the chair which was already at the store. Poor handling, poor customer service, and poorly made furniture-----would I recommend them to anyone?????????????

Terrible customer service (Mor)

We went to Mor to buy furniture for 2 of our living rooms. At first they promised us free delivery and they said it was going to arrive in about 6 weeks. On the 6th week we went down there to see if our furniture has arrived and they said it wasn't there yet. So than again on the 7th week we went down there again and once again we were sent back because the furniture hasn't arrived. Finally on the 8th week we when we went down there the furniture was there and we asked them why it took so long they said it has been there for couple of weeks and they didn't even bother to call us. We set up a delivery date with them and i get a phone call from the manager saying that we cant get the free delivery, if we wanted that then we have to pay it off right away. it made me so mad and i told them that was the worst customer service i have ever got! I would never recommend any body to go to Mor to get their furniture... I will never go back to that place again!

Mor Furniture is a rip off and a shady company

We attempted to purchase a bed from Mor furniture on a Saturday. First we were guaranteed delivery that day but by the end of the deal it was going to be Sunday. No problem so we went on about our business. Sunday comes along and we receive a call that our delivery window will be between 7:00 PM and 11:00PM. 11:00 rolls around and we have no bed and no call from the delivery person. So we put our old bed back together and proceed to call it a night. At Midnight we receive a call stating that the delivery is on its way and are we ready for it. After I told him know and expressed my anger for being kept waiting and not receiving a call he informed me that because of my attitude he would not deliver anything to me period ever. So Monday morning I call Customer Service and am told that there is nothing they can do. They will contact the warehouse but that we will just simply have to await another delivery time that is convenient for the them not us. They said that they can't guarantee that a customer will receive same day delivery or even next day delivery, they just try to do the bes they can. It is also not the policy of the delivery person to call 1 hour ahead of time like they state at the store. Horrible service, lies and misdirection abound. Don't waste your time or money - buy from any other store but theirs. They are frauds.

I bought a marble table that is allergic to water..that is if the tabletop should get wet even for less than a minute it will take whatever the finish is that they put on it off leaving gray faded marks against a shinny black finish. I have tried to discuss this with several people only to be told it's not a manufacturer's defect...too bad.

It had been in my home for 2 weeks before noticed and now looks awful.

I cannot believe this can be legal so now I will have to go to court. Consumer beware, once they have your money you're on your own.

Same thing happened to me plus it was not very well put together one of the legs was missing a screw and said they would fix it never happened never again will I purchase anything from them my table is not able to be cleaned it looks horrible I tried jst about everything it looks like grime and like you said faded gray all over it

They delivered the wrong bed!!!! I have to wait one month to get the one I ordered or I can simply go back and find another bed at another location...

It is terrible service... As much as you don't want to get upset it's hard not too!!

Seriously they don't even attempt to give you some kind of discount for their error. Never again will I shop at Mor.

Broken promise

Puchased a bedroom set and paid cash. Mor Furniture said the could not deliver until Monday so, I decided I would pick it up the next day. I was told that the store opened at 9 am and it would be ready then. I arrived around 9:30 am only to be told that pickup's were not permitted until 2 pm. This really pissed me off since I had already scheduled my day and so I told them to reverse my order and credit my account.. Only to be reminded that it would take 15 day's to credit my account. Mor should have told me that I could not pick up till after 2 pm

Maybe you people should try reading your paperwork. The yellow folder you received explains all of this info.

The pickup hours are right on there.

They are also on the company website.

Why do consumers blame companies when they are too lazy to spend 3 minutes to look something up or to read their paperwork. The paperwork is there for a reason!!!

:sigh mor furniture has terrible customer service and delivers furniture at midnight. i cannot believe they are still in business.

we bought a bedroom set (waiting for the broken dresser to be re-delivered tonight) and the kitchen table base to be re-placed tonight. supposed to be delivered between 5p and 9p. driver just called and said it will be more like 10p. they just can't get it right the first time.

bad bad bad ~ will never buy another thing from them!!! this the 4th visit from them.

we will see how it goes. i may be writing another complaint...

No manual kit for bunk bed

Box was opened already and no manual for twin/twin bunk bed and said there's nothing they can do about it and they did not give any discount for opened item while they said it was brand new coz we wiated for 4 days for it to be available but when we got the item it was an open box! And said they are not sure if all of the parts are complete and said call them if there are any missing parts! Very bad customer reps namely james the manager and josh mor furniture located in renton wa.

Mor--Never Again

I bought a couch set on clearance less than one month ago. I told the guy what I was looking for, as I have 4 cats with claws and he sold me microfiber. Let me tell you about the zillion holes I have in my couch already! My old set was a thick woven material and it took the cats 5 years to make it look as bad as this set does already in less than a month. Because it was on clearance the sales guy didn't honor the big sale event going on and only gave me one year interest free. No same delivery, in fact I would have to wait 2 days, so my husband agreed to take the couch set home in our truck, including going over 50 miles away to their warehouse to pick up the chair. The guy putting the couch in the truck punched *** in the seat with his finger and Mor refuses to acknowledge that before I even put the couch set in my home there was a rip done by their employees. I just plan on paying off these couches in 6 months, taking the 10k credit I was approved for and dumping these pieces of *** back on their doorstep with my cut up card when I'm done paying. What a waste of money and time and the customer service sucks. Seriously, don't waste your time here. If even considering going to Mor, I suggest you just stand in the doorway and bend over towards the store, and remember that that's the feeling you'll have after dealing with them, and then walk away. Walk away!

Actually, I'm 33, and when I ask for something to be sold to me by someone who is supposed to know what they are talking about, I expect to get it. As a Finance and HR Director of a company, I don't get the luxury of just telling people what they want to hear to sell a product, and my husband works for a cell phone store and still has the decency to tell people not to buy a phone cuz they won't have service.

Don't call me *** for expecting good service from people as honest as us..and I have 4 cats because I shelter animals.

Boo on me for being a good person and getting screwed, right? I don't think so...you probably are a sales man from Mor!

Actually, research on the net shows that microfiber is supposed to hold up, but I heard it doesn't from a friend with a cat also. Too bad that they didn't fess up to putting *** in your couch..what a pain.

Mor sucks , they lie, worst company out there

Ordered a bed in Jan . We were told it was in CA and the next truck up was in 6 weeks we agreed, (my bad) The day before the scheduled pu I called to check in they said it will be in next week for sure, I said if its not I want the ordered cancelled . We show up no order I say cancel They say whoops it will be here 2 weeks later. I said cancel Have not heard a peep about where my money is. Credit card dispute started and a complaint to the bbb filed. In 3 days if I dont have my money I will go to small claims and file and I will pay 100 for filing 85 for the deputy to serve and in the end they will pay me my money back and they will get a $185 bill for court costs. Its nice to have a wife who is a prosecutor,

I bought a dinning room table and chair set from Mor. One of the arms on one of the chairs broke when I picked it up to move it.

I called Mor service, and after speaking to someone that was to set up an inspection, I was told they would exchange the product. The representive said the warehouse would call and schedule the time for the exchange. I never heard from them. I called back and spoke to someone in customer service and was initally told they didn't have a record of the call.

After some prodding on my part I was told that actually there were notes and that someone on there end dropped the ball and didn't complete the scheduling. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I could not.

What can I say they dropped the ball and were not willing to do anything to make it right other than reschedule and try again. Now I'm going to be out 2 days of pay because I have to *** another day to wait for delivery.

Hate more furniture /rac

My name is tralice and rent a center/rac/more furniture are very rude my mom was ill in hospital they called me 10time for payment never been 30days late paying my bill with more told them my mom was passing away and they were still rude. Then today Michael from more call me about my bill when I called and left them messages telling them I was going to make payment Michael from more call my cell phone 14 time today how rude I have never been more the 30 late before. But one time and the only reason I wad becuz my mom passed. I hate this company don't buy from them.

You should be more specific with your complaints. All of the payment/finance issues were from RAC, not MOR Furthermore if you are behind on payments, ANY company is going to want their money. It is unfortunate that you had a family crisis at the time, but that doesnt mean that you can stop paying bills.

These guys are rip off artist. I bought couch,love seat n 2 tables 9 days ago. Sat on the couch this morning n it pretty much collapsed. I had to talk to 3 people to get another couch out here. They were trying to tell me i had to wait 4 days to have a tech inspect it before they could decide to replace it. I had to recommend emailing pic's to speed the process up. N wpuldnt it be cheaper anyways? Then paying a tech to come out? So short of the story is ill never shop there again. In the process of handling this i discovered they dont have a refund policy. So basically ur stuck dealing with them once u buy from them. Im strongly considering selling the couch n love seat just so i dont have to deal with them anymore. The worst customerservice ive ever dealt with in my 34 almost 35 years of existence. I tell u what we the people need to get together on things like this n take class actions against them. N whats even crazier is the guy continues to tell me if these dont work out we will get u in something that does. WTF how are u gonna change my mind for me on what i like n dont? These guys are strongarming crooked thieves as far as im concerned. SHORT OF IT IS DO NOT SHOP AT MOR. UD BE BETTER OFF AT K-MART!!!!!!

Never again

We purchased a headboard and paid cash for it. It was all scratched up when we got it home. So we called immediately and Mor said that they would order another one. It was sceduled for delivery 1 week later. We got it and then checked it with the drivers and it was damaged. So they took it back and we called again and customer service tried to force us to accept one that they were going to order by stating that Mor didn't give refunds . So we went to the store to explain it and got our refund.

Mor furniture not available on date in sales agreement

My wife bought a chair, on Jan 28, from Mor and was told it would be available for pick up on Feb 15. We called to verify the chair was in and were told it would be in on the 22nd, then the 29th now we are told it will be march 15th. At this point we are not going to buy anything from this company again. They do have good prices but their customer service is horrible. At this point if it isn't here on March 15 I am going to demand free delivery when it come in.

Mor furniture will PURPOSELY LIE to you and rip you off, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!!!

I bought a Vodara queen bed at Mor Furniture's Miramar road location, when I went in to make the purchase the salesman stated the bed was "solid wood". Yeah right the FIRST of Four beds they brought had extra holes drilled in the headboard where the side-rails(which were bowed, scuffed, and cracked)connected and the veneer was chipping off almost an inch around those holes showing the particle board underneath. The Headboard also had large gaps in it near the top where two pieces of the "solid wood" met that were large enough to easily stick a toothpick all the way through. You could literally see the paint on the wall behind it through the headboard. Also two of the anchors were missing from the base of the headboard and the ones that were there could be popped out with my thumb nail. The foot-board was just as bad, scuffed, cracked on the inside, and bowed, and the stain was coming off!! I refused to keep the bed as it was shaky and unsafe. the subsequent beds they brought were just as bad if not worse. Henry the warehouse manager assured me on several occasions that he would "personally inspect" each bed prior to delivery. When I asked him why EVERY headboard was showing up with extra holes instead of admitting there was a quality control problem or that there was a manufacturing defect he came up with increasingly less believable reasons as to why. First he said "Sorry for the inconvenience they aren't supposed to be this way" then "we decided to add the extra holes in case you JUST wanted to use the headboard". I asked him if this is the case why cant you buy JUST the headboard then and he could not tell me stating "that is a question for the sales department" and "I will have them contact you regarding this matter" (they never did). After the THIRD bed showed up Henry tried to tell me that the extra holes were now apparently for "supports so the legs don't snap off in shipping". When I refused the third bed Henry said they would not deliver another one unless I drove to Otay to inspect it. I told him if they would ship the bed to the Miramar Road store I would inspect it there but that it is completely unreasonable of them to expect me to drive TWO HOURS to Otay to do his job for him. I suggested on several occasions that if he were to extend a PARTIAL STORE credit back for the HUGE headache this had caused, I would have the headboard connection points reinforced on my own and just deal with it is. Henry said that I was "being unreasonable" and that the only way he would further assist me in getting a non defective bed was if i agreed to "play ball". I told him if one of MY customers has a problem with a product from my company we go out of our way to make it right, so why cant he so much as call me back when he says he is going to. Only after I threatened to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau did he agree to let me return the defective product. That whole process took over a month. Finally Damar in the customer service department scheduled a pick-up for the bed so that I could return it and "get my money back". They picked up the bed on a Saturday and said they would be there "no later than 6pm" they showed up at nearly MIDNIGHT. Damar said that the Monday following pick-up a return credit would be issued to my card for the full amount of my purchase. Well it has been a MONTH since then and I actually had to file a charge-back with my bank to get my money back. When I called Mor a week ago to see when I would FINALLY be getting my money back they told me it could take up to another 30 days. I advised them that BY LAW they have 72 hours to release the credit back to my bank but they had no response. Damar promised he would send me an email showing the return credit I was due, that never happened. He promised the return credit would be released to my card within 72 hours of pick-up, that never happened. Henry said he would "personally inspect" the replacement beds, that never happened. And everything else that anyone else in that company promised never happened. DO NOT shop at MOR Furniture, they will intentionally lie to you!!!!! Their customer service is by far the WORST I have ever experienced. All they want is to get your money and once they have it they don't care if there is a problem with something they sold.

Seems like you are expecting a whole lot from a 300 dollar bed... What did you expect? A hand carved masterpiece? Besides you should know that salesmen will be salesmen and tell you that the furniture was made from a flipping rainbow if that what you wanted to hear...

Sounds like they tried to multiple times to try and get the problem resolved.
